The Pond
Late last year it was decided that the Arvon Road Allotments needed a new pond.
Considering the poor status our previous one was in, the Allotment committee and keen members (including me) worked intently on this project over many work days through the Winter and early Spring of 2016. The team put their full effort into this magnificent pond and you can see what a beauty it has become today!
We have already added 1 frog, 12 tadpoles and 1 wild newt has even made it's home there. It's really important to look after the wildlife that is located on the plots and wooden area, and we hope more inhabitants settle in this new location over the coming months.
